Start Little began in the beachside town of Torquay as an idea when raising our little mini-me, our sassy, fun-loving little girl, Lucy.

We, (Oscar and Laura) wanted to bring Lucy up as bilingual, however, with only Oscar speaking Spanish it left Laura trying to learn some basics as not to be left out of the papa daughter duo.

With most resources in the US, and costs a bucket load to ship, Start Little began, with the aim of using everyday words from the alphabet in two languages.

It is designed for Australian adults to use the phonetics tailored to the Australian accent, rather than the American accent as is the case with many resources. With the thinking it may suit families trying to learn some Spanish, families that are bilingual, grandparents helping with the language and anyone and everyone wanting something new in a non**-**overwhelming language learning way.

Start Little has the hope of giving our mini-me a connection to her family and to access all the opportunities being bilingual brings. We thought there might be more of you out there wanting to Start Little…
