List of known problems with Consumer Data Rights (CDR) open energy in Australia, and any known issues per retailer AGL, Origin and Energy Australia:
- Data connection reliability: There have been some reports of problems with the data connection between retailers and the CDR data warehouse. This has resulted in some consumers needing help accessing their data or waiting long periods to update their data.
- Move and control over the gap: There have been some concerns about consumers' ability to move their data between retailers. The CDR data warehouse is owned and operated by the Australian government, and there is no guarantee that consumers can take their data with them if they switch retailers.
- Structured data problems: There have been some reports of problems with the structured data retailers provide. This has made it difficult for some businesses to use the data to develop new products and services.
- Need for more gaps reliability: There have been some reports of missing data from retailers. This has made it difficult for consumers to get a complete picture of their energy usage.
The following are some specific issues that have been reported with AGL, Origin and Energy Australia:
- AGL: There have been reports of problems with AGL's two-factor authentication process. This has made it difficult for some consumers to access their data.
- Origin: There have been reports of problems with Origin's data quality. This has made it difficult for some businesses to use the data to develop new products and services.
